Meow Meow Meow!! X3

Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut is really breathtaking.... what can I say he cease to inspire me with so many random thoughts. The fact that he goes from a serious topic to a comical one is really strange but entertaining as well. Such as, when he talks about how he changed his religion to being a Bokononist and then stating how a Episcopalian lady asked him to build a doghouse and he gave her a blueprint of the doghouse but she could not understand and so he said "Give it to your husband or your minister to pass on to God, and when God finds a minute, I'm sure he'll explain this doghouse of mine in a way that even you can understand"(4). I giggled so hard :) and i bet you did as well. But seriously if the lady thought she knew everything about God then she should have known how to read a blueprint otherwise "She [is] a fool, and so am I, and so is anyone who thinks he sees what God is Doing"(5).
Along with that, there was this really funny part in the end of part 6 where Newton Hoenikker (Dr. Hoenikker's youngest son) was typing a letter to John and explained an episodic moment in his life when he was telling his sister how much he hated their father because he was ugly and such and she slapped him repeatedly for that. So his other brother Frank punched their sister in the stomach and she called their father but Frank says he ain't gonna do anything about it and he just started to laugh as both of them were on the ground crying and just like what Frank said their Dad just looked out the window and resumed back to his work without any questions to the fuss outside. I find this similar to this quote in postmodernism, "Each person's interpretation of reality will necessarily be different"(Powell, 100). That is true because unlike every other father would do (go outside and find out what's the problem) their father did not give a HOO about his kids and was practically in his own world and observing little things like a child would. But I guess that is a good thing because it's good to appreciate and acknowledge every little creature in life that GOD created!!☺
Shoot I left an important part that I really wanted to express...so I will do so now... well as i was reading and comparing both Cat's Cradle and Postmodernism, i realized the purpose of religion. It is to guide us in a way that shows us the right direction in life because without it the world would be in chaos. It does not matter if it's true or not it is the "lies" that bestows on humans to create a path for them to lean upon when in doubt about life and to why us humans are in existence. To build such philosophy will never have an ultimate truth or an ultimate reality but it is how "each person shapes his or her own concepts of reality"(Powell, 100).

YEAH me!!!!
Comment this..duh....:)

I liked your blog. The thought(s) you had were very similar to mine.... but explained way better!! I also laughed..giggled when i read about the lady who thinks she knows everything but cant read a simple blue print! After that the quote you used.."She [is] a fool, and so am I, and so is anyone who thinks he sees what God is Doing"(5)." I like this quote because its soo true.... no one knows everything especialy what god is doing and no one ever will. Umm ;)
Also towards the end when you sarted comparing postmodernism and cat's cardle.... very nice!! The part where you talked about how lies create humans path which leads them to doubt life was brillant!!
    GOOD JOB!!
